The cron<\/strong> application enabled users to run recurring jobs utomatically. It can include taking a backup at 03:00 AM every day, capturing users who have logged in at 5:00 PM, etc.<\/p>\n

The daemon that\u00a0 runs cron job is\u00a0crond<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

The crontab<\/em>\u00a0(Cron Table)\u00a0creates a table or list of commands. Each of\u00a0these commands is to be executed by the operating system at a specified time and on a regular schedule.<\/p>\n

The below command displays the configured\u00a0cron<\/em> jobs.<\/p>\n

[root@centos9vm ~]#<\/strong> crontab -l
\n01 01 * * * \/home\/scripts\/CalendarReminder\/reminderAlarm.sh<\/em>
\n 01 03 * * * \/usr\/bin\/rsync -azv –delete \/home\/fire\/public_html\/ \/home\/fire\/backup<\/em>

The above command enables users to add and edit cron jobs. The interface and commands are similar to that of\u00a0vi editor<\/em>.<\/p>\n
