Dandified YUM or simply DNF is an advanced version of the Yellowdog Updater, Modified OR simply YUM, a package manager for rpm-based Linux distributions.<\/p>\n

The “yum” commands are still available in Redhat, but they point to DNF.<\/p>\n

Listed below are few of the commonly used DNS commands.<\/p>\n

List all dnf package names starting with http

DNF Groups<\/span><\/strong><\/span>

There are collection of realted packages installed together for a purpose. Groups are of two types<\/p>\n

  1. Regular Groups:<\/strong> These are collection of packages<\/li>\n
  2. Environment Groups:<\/strong> There are collection of groups<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Few\u00a0commands related to groups are:<\/p>\n

    [root@centos9test1 ~]#<\/strong> dnf group list
    \n[root@centos9test1 ~]#<\/strong> dnf group info “RPM Development Tools”
    \n[root@centos9test1 ~]#<\/strong> dnf group install “RPM Development Tools”<\/p>\n

    The DNS logs are stored in \/var\/log\/dnf.rpm.log<\/em><\/p>\n

    History of dnf commands used can be found by using the command:<\/p>\n

    [root@centos9test1 ~]#<\/strong> dnf history<\/p>\n

    Based on the listing of the commands executed as per the history, we can find additional information about a command executed by using the ID in the history.<\/p>\n

    You may undo an executed dnf command using the below command<\/p>\n
